One big PS-the Ethanol train will be passing in close proximity to the MIT nuclear reactor. There is NO mention of this in the MA DOT report. When I spoke with the DOT, they said the Ethanol Task Force members had discussed the nuclear reactor proximity/terrorist threat exposure and had decided NOT to include it in the report. So much for truth and transparency! Also, a few years ago, there was a lot of concern raised about transporting Ethanol through Boston Harbor because it poses a potential terrorist risk. Now that we have recently had a terrorist attack in Boston, the logic of now moving Ethanol through our communities is a head-scratcher. Ethanol transport through Boston Harbor high risk but moving it through our communities by train (and by a nuclear reactor) is low risk? Hmm. Finally, the Governor has the power to NOT issue the Ch. 91 license needed to move the train. It would be great if everyone calls his office to let him know that having an Ethanol train move through our neighborhoods and past a nuclear reactor in not OK. Happy Spring neighbors! I moved to BVP with my son Asa 2 years ago after selling our house, and have been enjoying meeting some of you when gardening and strolling. I would like you all to know that I've been a realtor in Cambridge and surrounding towns for 19 years, since my office was DeWolfe RE, a family owned, publically traded company (now Coldwell Banker, next to Armando's). My business is almost all from referrals from satisfied clients and I'm pleased to provide references. I'm a strong seller's agent with a track record for optimal pricing, preparing my clients and the property before it hits the market so there are often multiple bids & a smooth transition, minimum stress. Sometimes the preparation involves staging or de-cluttering, planting a front garden, helping find contractors & identifying repairs that are best done before putting it on the market. I have a fantastic marketing team behind me, and my office has affiliations with many universities and bio tech companies. I'm sure you've heard that our market has bounced back more than most. We now have pent up demand that exceeds our inventory, although it's increasing as word gets out. Pricing and marketing strategy are very important especially now. Buyers are experiencing frustration finding the right property and losing multiple bids sometimes several times before getting an offer accepted. I was one of the first agents trained in buyer agency 19 years ago, when it was pioneered in New England by DeWolfe and no other real estate offices in town offered it.
