I apologize for any mistakes I made, of which I am sure there are some, but the general tone and content of the meeting are fairly well reflected in these notes. You can read a basic fact sheet here. This project is anticipated to start in about 2-3 years and last for about another 3-4 years, making the current Commonwealth Ave Bridge project a very short dry run about what to possibly expect for traffic patterns during this larger project. A lot of the meeting had to do with the various stages of the environmental review being done for this project. You can learn more about the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (MEPA) and its various parts like Draft Environmental Reports (EIR) here. The majority of these reports consisted of damage to motor vehicle windows, lights and/or mirrors. Overall, officers responded to 14 different reports of malicious destruction in the Peabody neighborhood. The reports occurred on the following streets: * Avon Street * Bowdoin Street * Concord Avenue * Linnaean Street * Martin Street * Washington Avenue A teenage male was reportedly in the two hundred block of Concord Avenue kicking a soccer ball and striking poles, trees and other things with an aluminum bat at approximately 3:03 a.m. Shortly thereafter, at approximately 3:30 a.m., a second caller reported a male with shorts and a t-shirt banging a vehicle on Martin Street with what appeared to be a stick. A suspect was not located following the officers¹ response and follow-up investigation. About a month ago, I posted on these lists an invitation to help me start a regular morning walk group. A few people responded, and the group has been walking regularly since. So now that we're up and running, we thought it would be nice to re-invite y'all . Anyone who wants to join us -- regularly, irregularly, or just once -- we meet on Tuesdays & Thursdays between 7:25 & 7:30 in the double-driveway between 75 Richdale & the green house next door (85), and (try to) step off at 7:30.
