Saturday, Sept 8th, 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, PSNA volunteers, Harvard student volunteers (and, hopefully, Lesley too) will Clean Up the Square and Mass Ave from St. James Church at Beech Street to Starbucks at Shepard St. Gravestar is contributing workers and tools at Porter Square, the City will be contributing trash bags and gloves, as well as additional tools. We have asked the MBTA to wash the windows at the T, and both the plaza in front of the shopping center and the T plaza should be power washed! Please JOIN US! Join (PSNA members, our neighbors, St. James Church members, and business owners in the Square and down the Avenue) to clean up! Meet at the Porter Square T-Plaza See you there! * Bring tools if you have them. A child's broom and a child's snow shovel make an excellent way to get under benches, or in corners. BTW, kids are welcome. Chopsticks or skewers might dislodge cigarette butts!

Please help find our missing cat

Dear Neighbors, Our elderly male cat has gone missing. He is an indoor cat and if he escaped he is likely curled up in a shed or under a porch somewhere. Tigger is a grey striped tabby (photo below). Previous to June 2013 these towns experienced little to no airplane noise. Logan’s flight paths were fanned out, which resulted in a distribution of noise between Greater Boston towns. Since June 2013 and MassPort implementation of RNAV—"Area Navigation, a form of Performance- Based Navigation that makes use of satellite/GPS routing and waypoints and replaces conventional ground radar and Air Traffic Control"-- departures from runway 33L (departing NW from Logan) makes aircraft noise truly debilitating over residential neighborhoods in these communities. The FAA has dubbed RNAV flight paths Highways in the Sky.
