The goal of the project is to make the brine tanks more visually appealing. > > In 2019, the City began piloting a program to treat icy road surfaces using a brine solution of salt and water instead of more standard icy road treatments. Using the brine offers protection against ice formation but uses only a quarter of the salt that is normally used in treating these areas. Neighbors, So many of you have written to thank us for hosting the latest very successful Buena Vista Social Club annual cookout that we wanted to take a few minutes to say thanks to all of you, surely the best neighbors in the world! This year, in particular, would never have happened without some of you flyering the neighborhood, a couple of you doing the shopping (including footing the bill) for the burgers, hot dogs, etc.; those who brought tables, chairs, grills; put them up, and just as smoothly took them away; those who put brought/put out the food; and and those who cleaned up at the end.
