Where to Get Tested The City's COVID-19 free mobile testing will resume on September 9th and will be available at the following locations: Field House at Russell Field (Rindge Ave) will offer testing on Wednesday, September 9 and Wednesday, September 16 from 10AM-6PM The Pisani Center (131 Washington St) will offer testing on Saturday, September 12 and Saturday, September 19 from 11AM-7PM You can make an appointment to be tested online or by calling 617-665-3795. If you are feeling symptomatic and feel the need to get tested sooner, you can call your primary care provider to make an appointment to be tested.

Hi Ruth, A few days ago, I sent you a plant sale announcement that contained attachments. I have not tried to post on BVSC before, and do not know proper procedures, but someone told me attachments don't work well in this format. Fwd: Stand Out Against Racism, Sept 6, 10 am!

If you are around this Labor Day weekend, please come out Sunday to "Stand Out Against Racism" with us! Since we began this effort nothing has changed. Nationally, several more black lives or mobility have been lost to police violence, and even here, in blue MA, a police reform bill is still in limbo. We are still out protesting to say "this violence and systemic racism in this country (far beyond the police) must end. The first step is for average citizens, most of them white, to stand up and say "Enough" and "We Will Not Be Silent" while this continues, "in our names". So: Bring your family, friends, your home-made signs, your masks and join your neighbors at Porter Square to "Stand Out Against Racism" to show how upset we are with institutional racism and police violence in this country. We welcome ALL of our neighbors and friends to join us. There is plenty of room around the Square and up/down Mass Ave to stay distanced and make an impact on passersby and drivers. Is anyone else having trouble with Comcast?

My internet keeps dropping off, and I have had technicians here twice in a week. Yet, the problem continues. Phone tech services are handled by rank amateurs, with little account history, and I am at the end of my patience with them. However, as they have a monopoly, I don’t think I have any other real choices. So, first, is it just my system, or is this pattern widespread, the result of an old infrastructure inadequately maintained and way overtaxed by all of us working from home, going to school from home? Please let me know your experience, as I can only see the next step as city hall. They gave Comcast the monopoly in the first place. They may be the only ones to make them reinvest to make it work sufficiently, or find a way to offer competition. Frustrated (as if you could not tell), Ruth

Together we have committed to continue the Coho food collection through October, and then reassess. Thank you to all those who have been contributing, and any new contributors. Please spread the word. FOOD DROP OFF TIME: Friday, Sept 4 from 9am to 3:00pm. WHERE: 175 Richdale Ave entrance to CoHousing. Please leave items just inside the gate either in a paper bag, small box or in boxes marked FOR CHELSEA. Various ones of us will be around to receive your food donations. THANK YOU!!
