Cambridge Police Seeking to Identify Suspect Following Damaged Motor Vehicles
The Cambridge Police Department is
seeking to identify a suspect associated with a rash of malicious destruction
of property incidents that occurred Wednesday morning. The majority of these
reports consisted of damage to motor vehicle windows, lights and/or mirrors.
Overall, officers responded to 14 different reports of malicious destruction in
the Peabody neighborhood.
The reports occurred on the following streets:
Avon Street
Bowdoin Street
Concord Avenue
Linnaean Street
Martin Street
Washington Avenue
A teenage male was reportedly in the two hundred block of Concord Avenue
kicking a soccer ball and striking poles, trees and other things with an
aluminum bat at approximately 3:03 a.m. Shortly thereafter, at approximately
3:30 a.m., a second caller reported a male with shorts and a t-shirt banging a
vehicle on Martin Street with what appeared to be a stick.
A suspect was not located following the officers’ response and follow-up
investigation.
