BVP Neighbors, Friends,
Oct 19th was the favorite, so mark your calendars accordingly. Pray for Indian summer that Sunday, at least from 2-6 pm! It is a little late for a cookout, but what the heck if we are in turtlenecks and jeans?
We will need to get a permit from the city to close BVP from Upland to Cambridge St.
We will also need everyone to refrain from parking there during that afternoon. We will need a few cars to anchor the ends of the street and buttress our signs, so I will be asking those of us immediately on that stretch about their cooperation.
We need grills, chairs, tables, kid's games/diversions, food to cook and side dishes/salads/deserts coordinated.
You can start by telling me what you can bring! We will keep track via a spreadsheet, so please remind me of your name (sometimes your email is not very illuminating, or I haven't associated a face with it), where you live and the names of guests/kids (ages?) you are bringing. None of this info is distributed!
Please also volunteer to set up, clean up, coordinate, etc. Mark & Jodi have agreed t do the sound system again. Anything I am forgetting?
Ruth
Neighbors,
It is time to set a date to cook some great food, catch up with our neighbors, and generally have a good time before it turns cold AGAIN!
Usually Sunday afternoon works best, so could I have a show of hands on which of the following dates works for most of us:
Sept 28th?
Oct 5th?
Oct 19th?
And if you can help with organizing, entertaining kids, setting up, cleaning up, please let me know.
Also, reach out and invite your neighbors who may not be on the list.
If they would like to join the list, all they (or you) need to do is email me a request.
