Next Tuesday: In our 20th Annual Dunlop Lecture, achitect Michael Maltzan will discuss his work with the Skid Row Housing Trust in Los Angeles and how architecture and other design professions can help address housing affordability and homelessness.

Next Friday: The 30 percent figure used to estimate rental cost-burden does not fully account for expenses that vary with individual circumstances. Center researcher Alexander Hermann will discuss new research that examines rental affordability by household type, income, and metro.

Do Older Adults Have Equitable Access to Livable Communities

Do older adults in the US have equal access to highly livable neighborhoods? A new report from the Center and AARP finds that access to the most livable communities is not equitable among older adults, especially among lower-income older adults and older communities of color.
