The National Drive to Fix Gun Checks is off to a great start. Mayor Bloomberg kicked us off in New York. We met with Mayor Booker in Newark.  And this morning, the truck went to Philadelphia where Mayor Nutter and 34 people affected by gun crime called on Congress to fix gun checks -- and all four local TV stations were there to cover it.

Momentum is building.  We’re driving all across the country, building support and putting pressure on elected officials to fix our broken background check system and keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people.

But Mayors Against Illegal Guns is a non-profit organization, so to get all the way to Tucson and back to Washington, DC, we need the support of people like you who are fed up with the fact that 34 Americans are murdered with guns every day.
