Governor Baker Extends Stay At Home Advisory to May 18
Today, the Baker-Polito Administration extended the essential services emergency order to May 18th and launched a Reopening Advisory Board that will produce a plan to the Governor by May 18th. The Administration also announced that the Department of Public Health’s Stay At Home Advisory remains in effect and gatherings of 10 or more people remain prohibited until May 18th.
A total of 721 Cambridge residents have tested positive for COVID-19 since the coronavirus outbreak began, and there have been 45 confirmed COVID-19 deaths and 96 recoveries in Cambridge residents as of 5:00 p.m. on April 28.

The City of Cambridge Issues an Emergency Order Requiring the Use of Face Coverings
The City of Cambridge issued an emergency order requiring that face coverings be worn in all public places, businesses and common areas of residential buildings. The order takes effect at 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, and applies to everyone over the age of five years old, with exceptions in alignment with guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control or Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Violations may be punishable by a $300 fine.
