REMINDER
PSNA Members and Friends,
We have a varied program this time!
We welcome representatives of the DPW for both Somerville and Cambridge next Thursday, the 21st, to discuss the issues that come up on the edges where the two city’s meet.
Some PSNA members live just feet or a block or so from that divide (including a few whose houses are actually partly in each!).
Issues like who is supposed to remove the snow piled up at the end of the sidewalk/road, shoved by one city but perhaps resting in the other city.
If you have issues, bring them for some answers.
In any case, come discuss with us (and our experts) how to work across boundaries, and perhaps learn something from each other about the best practices and plans of each city.
Our guests will be:
*John Nardone, Deputy Commissioner Cambridge DPW
*Steven MacEachern Acting Commissioner Somerville DPW
We will also have our Annual Election of Officers. So, come throw your hat into the ring for the chance to become rich and famous!
Seriously, come all you members out there, and vote (or run) for President, V.P. and Secretary.
We also will have a brief presentation by:
*Corey Thompson , Co-founder of All In Energy.
The City of Cambridge has partnered with All in Energy, a Boston-based
nonprofit, to help Cambridge renters, landlords and homeowners living in 1-4
unit buildings save energy and money at home. All In Energy helps residents
sign up for no-cost home energy assessments through the Mass Save program,
and supports renters and landlords to work together to get building
insulation and other efficiency upgrades. The energy assessment is provided
at no cost and insulation is covered 75-100% for landlords and homeowners. To
