Subject: Reminder: CDCC Meeting Tomorrow 6/12 with Jim Roosevelt — Graham & Parks School, 7pm (Don't Be Late!)

Dear CDCC Members and Friends,

Quick reminder — Cambridge's own Jim Roosevelt will be our speaker when the Cambridge Democrats meet tomorrow evening, Wednesday June 12!

Jim is not only a long-time member of the CDCC, he is a strong national Democratic voice, speaking and writing on the Affordable Care Act, Medicare and Medicaid policy, and Social Security. He served in President Bill Clinton's administration, he defended his grandfather Franklin Delano Roosevelt's legacy during the fight against Social Security privatization, he served for a decade as the CEO of Tufts Health Plan, and has held so many other positions of consequence that we don't have the space to list them! Suffice it to say that Jim's breadth and depth of political and health care policy experience is unmatched. He is currently the co-chair of the Rules and Bylaws Committee of the Democratic National Committee, a position he has held since 1995, and in that capacity has recently spent extended periods of time with 21(!) of the 23 Democratic presidential campaigns. He has agreed to share with us some of his indefatigable energy as he shows us the landscape for Democrats over the coming election season.

Jim will speak promptly at 7:00pm to open our meeting, so don't be late!

After Jim's talk, we will consider some important business — we will vote on our budget for 2019-2020, and will also consider a resolution from Ward 3 concerning the DCCC's policy towards primary challengers.

Wednesday, June 12th at 7:00pm (wards may meet at 6:30)
