Help Cambridge Win Five Million Dollars!
Since the beginning of 2015, the City of Cambridge has been participating in the Georgetown University Energy Prize. This contest, which runs until June of 2017, awards $5 million to the city that executes the most innovative plan to increase their overall energy efficiency.
To improve our chances of winning, Cambridge Energy Alliance is doing outreach to offer home energy assessments at no cost to residents, in which they provide custom recommendations for ways to save energy in your home. They make other instant improvements, like swapping in LED light bulbs as well. By signing up for an assessment, you will increase your energy savings and decrease your energy bill.
Additionally, solar panels are an important part of saving energy in Cambridge. A new option available to houses that can¹t have their own solar panels is solar sharing, which gives residents the ability to buy a share of locally produced solar energy at a low price, with a guarantee that you will save money.
