Building Pathways Pre-Apprenticeship Program Information Session Aug. 31

Cambridge, MA August 17, 2015 – The City of Cambridge is hosting an information session for Building Pathways, a pre-apprenticeship program for construction trades, Monday, Aug. 31, at 6 p.m. at 51 Inman St., Cambridge.

Building Pathways is a six-week, highly competitive program designed to prepare qualified men and women for an apprenticeship in one of the building trades through classroom and hands-on learning. Candidates must meet all of the eligibility criteria listed below and have a genuine interest in the construction trades.

To be eligible, you must:

· Be age 18 or older;

· Have a high school diploma or GED;

· Have a valid driver’s license;

· Have a car;

· Be able to do challenging physical work and tolerate weather extremes;

· Be drug-free and able to pass a drug test before & during the program;

· Have good math & English skills (there’s a test);

· Be authorized to work in the US.
