I’m delighted to be the new manager of the Living Well Network. I’m learning more each day as I meet people and get introduced to all that the network has to offer! I know I have big shoes to fill; as they say, Kathy Dalton is a 'hard act to follow'! Thank you, Kathy, for your help as I take on the job.
My professional background is as a social worker, working in the area of Family Support and Parenting Education. A special focus in my jobs was always to build networks of support and help folks get connected to resources.
Personally, I've built my own network of support at each stage of life. Now that I’m in the 55+ age group, I see how important it is to promote health, learning, and social connections among us older adults.
I’m also a photographer - it’s another way I connect with people (and nature). My most beloved photography project has been to photograph children from immigrant families living in the Boston area. See more here.
My focus this first month is to get to know the Living Well Network, its offerings, and YOU as the members and participants. Please feel free to reach out to me here. I’d love to hear your ideas! (and please answer the short survey - see link below.)
In August I will schedule a Coffee Hour/Meet & Greet to take place in person at 20 Sacramento St. - watch for more info about that!
