This event is free and open to Cambridge residents (proof of residency required). Proper disposal of materials helps protect public health and the environment; if you’re unsure of how to dispose of items properly, or what items are accepted at the event, download the “Zero Waste Cambridge” app for iPhone/Android, or click here to learn more. It is pretty a well-run event, but the lines can be long (especially if you are not either walking or biking your stuff there), so you may want to get there early and also be prepared to wait a bit. And do make sure that they’re going to be able to take what you bring. It’d be a pain to show up with, for example, a bunch of empty compressed gas cylinders (which they don’t take at the Collection day) and have to bring them home. You’ll be really happy to get your various closets and cabinets and basements free and clear of this stuff again! Have a great day.
