Submit Your Ideas by July 31

One more day to add your ideas to the PB Map

There is still one more day to tell us how you would spend $1,000,000 on capital projects to improve the community.

Idea collection runs through the end of the day, tomorrow - July 31, 2019.

Since June 1, over 1,200 ideas have been submitted for the 2019 Participatory Budgeting Cycle.

If you have an idea for a project to improve Cambridge, please share it on the map! Projects are eligible for funding if they meet the following criteria:

· Are capital projects, which usually involve infrastructure improvements (as opposed to operating projects, which usually fund salaries and services)

· Are one-time expenditures that cost $1,000,000 or less

· Benefit the public

· Are implemented by the City of Cambridge on City property (streets, sidewalks, parks, libraries, schools, youth centers, senior centers, municipal buildings, etc.)

Submit an Idea

The Next Steps for PB:

· Volunteer Budget Delegates will research and prioritize ideas, ultimately developing final proposals for the PB ballot (August-November 2019)

· City staff will vet proposals for feasibility and cost (November 2019)

· Residents will vote on which projects they’d like the City to fund (Early December 2019)

· Results are announced and winning projects are included in the City’s FY21 capital budget (December 2019)

· Winning projects are implemented (July 2020 onward)
