About the survey
The City conducts a customer intercept survey in commercial districts each year. The purpose of the survey is to provide CDD with a better understanding of what Porter Square/Lower Mass. Ave. customers want in their commercial districts. Understanding the different types and needs of consumers in each commercial district will enable staff to better assist entrepreneurs to find locations where their businesses can succeed; help current businesses owners understand the local market;, and help property owners recruit potential businesses to vacant storefronts.
Data from this year’s survey will be used to develop a Porter Square/Lower Mass. Ave. Commercial District Assessment. Here is a link to last year’s Inman Square Commercial District Assessment
Survey schedule
Weather permitting, surveying will be done from September 10-20, 2019. We also will have the survey at some of the local businesses during the same time period.
How can the community get involved?
We encourage people to stop and take the survey, but we really appreciate when folks in the community can help survey customers. If anyone is interested in volunteering, they can sign up to volunteer using this Google Doc: http://bit.ly/2YzyCLo by September 3. We offer volunteer orientations, too.
