Policy Order calling for a working group to study North Mass Ave

Neighbors, I am sending this along so, in case you have not seen it, you will consider recommending people to serve on the working group. If we want a Mass Ave (and adjacent neighborhoods) that work for all of us, we need to be part of this process. Change and re-development will happen (and is happening); we need to help shape what it will look like. I tried to leave this broad and not get too detailed but also wanted to make sure we are seeking a full discussion of housing, zoning, beautifying the neighborhood, traffic, supporting businesses, etc. I hope you can support the PO. This will not begin until June 2023 and hopefully, conclude in the Spring of 2024 with a set of zoning and other recommendations. https://cambridgema.iqm2.com/Citizens/Detail_LegiFile.aspx?Frame=SplitView&M... Many have said they feel that decisions are made without their input. I filed the policy order so that the Massachusetts Avenue community can start discussing a future vision for the area including all of the elements in the policy order. CDD is already busy with other community reviews but I wanted this to be on their list immediately after they complete the Alewife Quad and East Cambridge/Inman Square. I am making no assumptions about what the final results will be as I want it to be a robust conversation with the community.
