Trash Tours: 6/13 (all early afternoon) Restricted Travel Lanes on Anderson Memorial Bridge Beginning Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 7 AM, <http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?e=001fN6kCmBUcHpQ0opknkq96lrAeM9uTXGWW2S_IAEMoLl5 IwEIVIo5zKeABTSyYHKHC0ZHZoNeJ9-SOdQWFlYhh8riAswcySupE10OZe9JNiWTyYoSczAsIjpB dWQYnC4b> MassDOT crews will begin road work on the Anderson Memorial Bridge, which carries North Harvard Street over the Charles River, between Cambridge and Boston. During the work, the downstream sidewalk will be closed and traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on the bridge until further notice. Bicyclists will need to share the eastbound and westbound lanes. Appropriate signs, channelizing devices and traffic control measures will be used to guide drivers through the work zone. MassDOT encourages drivers to allow extra time for their trips and to reduce speed and use caution when travelling through the work zone. The work is part of a $19.98 million project to rehabilitate the Anderson Memorial Bridge and is funded through the Patrick-Murray Administration's historic Accelerated Bridge Program, a $3 billion recovery effort to reduce the Commonwealth's backlog of structurally-deficient bridges.
