It will mess up many of our lives (those of us who live here, and who will have to go to hell and back just to visit our local shops/shopping center with a car, God forbid). It will also put undue stress on all of the other cross streets/connecting streets, by redirecting traffic unnecessarily. Please pay attention if you live on/just off Linnaean, Mt. Vernon, Walden, Washington, etc. While this will all make it easier for bicycle travel, including discussion of a two way bike lane on a redone/one-way Upland, our community is not made up of bicyclists alone. It includes, and I would say is primarily made up of, homeowners paying a lot of taxes, renters happy to living/working here, children walking to/from school, folks (of all ages and demographics) walking our neighborhoods. Please speak up, before you lose the chance. And demand real community meetings, with real neighbors, not lobbyists from all over the area. The survey is here, but do not stop there. We have been trying to inform people (especially those on Upland Road) about making Upland Road a one-way street. We have canvased the neighborhood with flyers to that effect. The text is neutral, suggesting that people look at the website. We have this information in the body of the text and also in a QR code. Someone has pulled down our posted flyers.
