Anyone around to help us on Friday?

We potentially have 17 (probably less, but that would still be a lot) mostly young Harvard student volunteers. We need a couple of folks to help us manage a couple of teams to gather data and interview business owners from Porter Square to Shepard Street, and (if we do get that many volunteers) north of Porter Square as well. *We concentrated there last year.* It will only take 3 hours, and I think you will find it fun and interesting to interact with these young folks from all over, introduce them to our neighborhood, and keep them on track. Please let me know if you can help us out. Ruth "*Team 17: Porter Square Neighborhood Association* (MBTA Red Line) Note: the team will gather *promptly* at 12:45pm along the Harvard Yard gates (next to the Science Center Plaza Tent) to prepare to head out to the site - look out for Team 17 signage to find your team! *They should reach Porter Square by 1pm -sh!* Focus area:* local neighborhood awareness* Project Description: *Porter Square Neighbors Association* is a voluntary membership organization of people who want to work to improve the quality of life in Porter Square and surrounding neighborhoods. During the Global Day of Service, volunteers will survey businesses and institutions along Massachusetts Avenue from Waterhouse (north of Harvard Common) to the Arlington line. This information will be used to update the online and paper map published periodically by the Porter Square Neighborhood Association and assist in the development of a new Porter Square/Mass Ave business association.
