Hi Everyone, an update on the bike theft front -- mine was just stolen over the past few days from my back yard on Buena Vista Park. I just noticed it was gone yesterday, and whoever stole it brought bolt cutters to cut the lock. It was locked to our front porch (in hindsight, a mistake) on Sacramento Street. We reported it to the police who told us there are about 5 bikes being stolen a day in Cambridge. He said bikes should be kept inside the house. He said that there has been a reduction in the production of bikes in the last six months, and so there has been an increase in demand for (stolen) bikes. He said thieves are breaking into storage sheds, garages, basements, etc.
