The Arts Council Advisory Board provides guidance and advice on enhancing the lives of the residents of Cambridge through the arts; stimulates public awareness of the arts; and develops ways to improve the aesthetic experience of the people living, working, playing and passing through the city. Ideal candidates would be experienced in some phase of artistic expression, creation, performance, production, finance or organization. The City of Cambridge is committed to advancing a culture of antiracism, diversity, equity, and inclusion. All board and commission members in Cambridge must have the ability to work and interact effectively with individuals and groups with a variety of identities, cultures, backgrounds, and ideologies. The Advisory Board consists of 9-15 members appointed by the City Manager and confirmed by the City Council to a 3-year term.
