I work in the recycling field and I know that a lot of people don¹t understand why they can¹t put plastic bags in the recycling bins. Here is a good short video about that. What it doesn¹t mention is that, during the cleaning process, workers are also exposed to a higher chance of injury (just watching them on the machinery cleaning it out made me nervous!). Please share with others. Plastic bags are recyclable, just not in the curbside program. Supermarkets take them back, and the Cambridge recycling center also takes them.
