RecycleCraze Winners Bike Pickup of Food Scraps Now Available Residents can now sign up for bike pickup service of kitchen food scraps through two local companies that will compost for you! Metro Pedal Power <http://metropedalpower.com/soilcycle> , based in Somerville and Bootstrap Compost <http://bootstrapcompost.com/> , based in Jamaica Plain. Subscribers pay a small fee, get a 5-gallon bucket, regular pickup service and finished compost. Sign up for a Recycling Tour Cambridge residents and City employees are invited to tour the Casella recycling facility in Charlestown. No children under 14. The tour lasts about 2 hours. We meet at DPW and carpool there. Let us know if can drive and how many people you can take. Email recycle@cambridgema.gov to sign up for Thurs May 19 (6 open spots) or Tues June 14 (12 open spots). Together, the Cambridge Schools recycled over 117,477 pounds, saving 899 trees, nearly 59 tons of CO2 emissions, 7.8 truckloads of trash, 411,000 gallons of water and 117 barrels of oil.
