Porter Square Clean-up: April 12

Neighbors, The Ward 10 Democratic Committee and Porter Square Neighbors Association are sponsoring the annual spring clean-up of Porter Square on April 12th. Details are below (I've also attached the flyer.) This is a great event for neighborhood solidarity, meeting new people, and (of course) getting rid of winter and its unwanted debris! And there is lunch at Christopher's afterwards. Please email me to RSVP and let me know what tools you can bring. Following the example of Porter Square, two other sites will be cleaned up Saturday am (Sunday afternoon, if it rains): *Members and friends of St. James Church will be cleaning up the area around the church and the Beech St. intersection . If you are interested in helping out there, contact Kristen von hoffman at kristen.vonhoffmann@gmail.com *Merchants and residents will be cleaning up the area of Mass Ave on/near the Demonstation Block (Shepard St. to Garfield St.). If you want to help out there, please contact Emily Anderson at abodeon@mac.com This event is also being sponsored by the Agassiz Neighborhood Council and the Ward 7 Democratic Committee. We are expecting the construction of the Demo Block of the Mass Ave MasterPlan, including our public art installations, to begin perhaps as early as mid-April! So a good time to take ownership of the area. Some of the details on Mass Ave are different (meeting at Simon's Coffee Shop, etc), so I have attached the flyer for that event. Come help us out at Porter Square, or at one of the other sites. Don't forget to RSVP and let us know if you can bring tools.
