Neighbors, Before folks start leaving for summer trips, let¹s pick a date for the fall Buena Vista Social Club cookout. How about a show of hands (metaphorically) on theses dates: _____ Sept 11 _____ Sept 18 _____ Sept 25 We usually start at 3 and go to 7pm. We invite lots of folks from the streets all around us. We close off Buena Vista Pk from Upland to Cambridge Terrace (no parked cars). The immediate neighbors offer their driveways, grills, tables and chairs, but we always need more of the latter. We ask that folks bring food or drink to share, and give us some idea in advance, as we usually throw in what is missing. We ask for ice, and even tents (if it looks like rain), and things to entertain the kids. (we usually throw in a few scooters, balloons, tattoos, etc.) We have even had a yoga session for the kids!
