North Cambridge Family Opera--world premiere!

Dear neighbors, Please join us for a long-standing Cambridge tradition, the annual multigenerational production of North Cambridge Family Opera! This year we’re performing the World Premiere of WEEDPATCH, a story of hardship, laughter, and song in Dustbowl-era California. Lyrics by two-time Grammy-winning storyteller Bill Harley Music by Stanford University professor Paul Phillips NCFO's first commission is set at the historical Weedpatch school, built and run by determined Oklahoma migrants, who show resilience and humor in the face of hostility from long-time Californians. The cast features many neighbors on Upland Rd, CRLS students, elementary and middle schoolers, working moms and dads, retired professors—all of whom have practicing together through the long winter months to bring this story to the stage.
