Hardly a plan – a set of contradictory talking points that already have been overriden in the AHO. T The design firm, Utile, was disgusted with the whole process by the end when they were precluded from doing what they wanted to do. The whole point was NOT to have a plan but intend to allow spot zoning by developers to continue. That said we should show up if people are able to do so. Alas I work full time so this is insane. We think the plan goals are good overall, but we note that some of them conflict with each other. It also is not clear how the city is implementing the plan or resolving conflicting goals. A particular area of concern is Alewife, where new large developments are being proposed. The city council will hold a hearing about the Envision plan: *Wednesday, October 7, 2020 2:00 PM* The Neighborhood & Long-Term Planning, Public Facilities, Arts and Celebrations Committee will conduct a public hearing... to discuss the Envision Masterplan, and review how to set priorities and goal setting based on the Envision Masterplan.
