Barbecue at St. James Church garden on Saturday

There is a Neighborhood Barbeque (free) in the garden (entrance on Mass Ave) at: St. James Episcopal Church Corner of Mass Ave and Birch St. Saturday, May 29th 6-9 pm You may remember that St. James and Oaktree Development have a proposal before the Historical Commission to rebuild the parish house and community service spaces (in dire need) on the 1st floor, with residential condos on the 2nd and 3rd floors behind the church (facing Birch St.). That proposal needs perhaps one more approval from the Historical Commission before they will be allowed to proceed. The Historical Commission wants to make sure that the bulk of the Church's share of funds from any condo sales will go toward restoring/maintaining the historic sanctuary. However, this picnic is purely for fun. Go, if you can, and meet the folks at St. James, and from the neighborhood. Also, feel free to pass this message and the attached flyer along to your neighbors. Ruth Ruth A. Ryals 115 Upland Rd. Cambridge, MA 02140 617-547-6453 617-834-4007 cell rryals@comcast.net
