Reminder: PSNA meeting on Homelessness this Thursday!

Homelessness in the Porter Square Area Porter Square Neighbors Association Thursday, April 19th 7-9 pm Lesley University Hall, 1815 Mass Avenue, Room 2-048. We will hear from folks with daily hands-on experience to learn: who are the homeless, the programs and resources in Cambridge and Somerville to address their issues, and perhaps to achieve an education for the rest of us. Our roundtable participants are: *Mardi Moran formerly co-owner of Tags and a member of St. James Church *Mayor Marc McGovern and Ellen Semonoff, Asst. Mngr., Human Services, Cambridge *Mark McGovern, Exec. Dir., CHA Healthcare for the Homeless, and Mark Alston-Follansbee, Exec. Dir., Somerville Homeless Coalition *Police Commissioner Branville G. Bard, Jr., as well as officers from the Homeless Outreach Program and neighborhood officers *Jedediah Mannis of Harvard Divinity School and members of St. James Episcopal Church who was there at the start of The Outdoor Church *We have asked some of the merchants from the Square and Mass Ave to attend so we might understand their experiences. *We have also asked the Spare Change folks to come.
