Hi —

If anyone knows of girls, age 9-11 who’d be interested in an excellent soccer program there is a new Valeo FC club in the area looking for players! Valeo FC is a club team that focuses on teaching soccer skills to kids and is currently attempting to develop: a 2006-2007 (or 2007-2008) girls program.

Valeo currently has a boys program with a home field is at 570 Somerville Ave in Somerville (the field next to Veteran's memorial rink). They want a girls program as well, but have not yet had enough registrants. The Valeo club provides financial aid to every player who needs it.

Our daughter went to the tryouts this week for their Boston team and had a BLAST. The coaches stressed that they focus on families, care about the whole child, and want them to have fun while developing their love of soccer. And honestly, you could tell from watching the kids that they do just that. These things all in one package are rare among club teams.

So if you know of girls who’d like to try out, please pass this info on. Tryouts are at 570 Somerville Ave.

Our children need more opportunities to play more soccer with a skilled coaching staff (rather than driving to the suburbs).
