Hi Everyone: Home fires are way more dangerous <https://www.ready.gov/home-fires> than things like terrorist attacks, hurricanes or floods, but we often underestimate the risk they pose. This email, forwarded below, along with the attached flier, explain the American Red Cross¹ Home Fire Campaign¹s <http://www.redcross.org/news/article/Saving-Lives-with-the-Red-Cross-Home-F ire-Campaign> efforts to help make Cambridge a more fire safe city. On a more personal note, you can see my short video on fire safety, focusing on fire extinguisher issues, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xfdr5Ibf9Zg&feature=youtu.be. It stars both my youngest son and oldest cat. Thanks a lot. Craig All emails to and from this City address should be considered to be subject to Massachusetts¹s Public Records laws. Hi Sandra and members of the City Council, The local Cambridge chapter of the American Red Cross is bringing its Home Fire Campaign to the city of Cambridge on April 6, May 20 and June 3. I am looking for help in spreading to word to residents and am hoping this event can get mention during the upcoming April 3 regular meeting of the City Council. To explain what this program is, the Red Cross Home Fire Campaign works to teach people how to be prepared for home fires and also checks/replaces old or broken fire alarms and CO detectors in homes that need them. This is a free program. I truly appreciate your efforts in helping to spread the word to parents about this free, life-saving program. I have attached a flyer with more information about this program. Any help in spreading this information to residents would be wonderful. Please let me know if you have any questions, and again, thank you so much!
