Governor Charlie Baker, just cut ALL of the funding--$110,000 (which is chump change in a budget of this size!)--for Food For Free's Cambridge Weekend Backpack Program http://www.foodforfree.org/cambridge-weekend-backpack-program . This program has helped so many children at Cambridge Public Schools (500 in our district. 500!!!). It's unthinkable that funding was cut. Please take a moment and call his office to express your opinion. Who takes food out of the mouths of hungry kids? Please pass on to whomever else would be willing to advocate for this issue!
