Good Morning,

Over the past few weeks, crews have been repairing the sewer main on Mead Street, which was recently found to be in poor condition. In order to complete the repair, crews will need to repair the connection from the Mead Street sewer main to the Walden Street main. To ensure that this work is done quickly and efficiently, crews will be detouring northbound traffic on Walden Street (heading towards Massachusetts Avenue). This detour will go into effect this Wednesday, October 29, and is expected to be completed by Tuesday, November 4. Vehicles travelling in the southbound lane will not be impacted. General work hours will be from 7AM-4PM, Monday thru Friday. Emergency vehicles will maintain access at all times and city services will continue uninterrupted. Please refer to the attached map for detour information.

Notices will be distributed to area residents later this morning. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
