(Blake is the short street between Orchard and Mass Ave with the fire house on one side and the gas station on the other side). Karen Geez, sorry to pass on more neighborhood crime news... A tenant living on Blake Street was mugged last night at approximately 9:50. He was walking down Blake Street toward Orchard pulling his suitcase and a backpack when (I believe several men) grabbed his backpack, punching him in the face. They ran off toward Orchard Street. Many of us heard his screams for help and called police who arrived shortly and several cruisers combed the neighborhood for the guys. If any of you find a backpack in your yards leave it and call Cambridge Police right away. The Police went off in search of the guys but I know sometimes they go through the bags and toss them when done. The victim is a student and his wallet and some important documents were in the backpack. Pass it on... Janet Malenfant
