The Pandemic Unemployment Assistance Program is now accepting applications. This program is open to individuals who aren't ordinarily eligible for unemployment benefits, including those who are self-employed, freelancers, independent contractors, part-time workers, claimants with insufficient work history to qualify for benefits, and claimants who have been laid off from churches and religious institutions who are not eligible for benefits under state law. You can apply for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance benefits at this website: www.mass.gov/pua. Please note that this is a different website and application than the traditional unemployment insurance application. If you have any questions or concerns about the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance Program and how to apply, please don't hesitate to reach out to me at Marjorie.Decker@mahouse.gov.
